APSDMA has proposed to train 200 Community Volunteers of Flood Prone areas in the District of Krishna, Andhra Pradesh under Centrally Sponsored Scheme " Aapada Mitra " by NDMA, Govt of India.


The identified Community Volunteers would get training on Disaster Response by Expert and provide emergency kit to support to the services of Civil deference in Search & Rescue, Evacuation and Rehabilitation of the vulnerable people in the vulnerable villages.


On completion of the training program the participants will be able to:

  • Act as First Responder during Floods/Cyclone/Tsunami
  • Operate Flood /Cyclone/Tsunami Rescue Equipment
  • Organize immediate relief measures.

Selection Criteria for Volunteers

  • Age 18 to 40 years.
  • Place - Must be a resident of concerned village.
  • Qualification - 7th Standard.
  • Be in good physical, mental and emotional health
