Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) is the apex body in the state for Disaster Management which was constituted in 2007 as per the provisions of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 and Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Rules, 2007.

APSDMA is led by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. In line with the formation of APSDMA, Government of Andhra Pradesh has also formed District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMA) in all districts with District Collector as Chairman of DDMA. APSDMA has established a headquarter building for the first time since its inception and started operations from Tadepalli, Guntur District.
APSDMA has commissioned State-of-the-art facilities for hazard monitoring, scientific data analysis, emergency operations, response communications as facilities for innovative technological solutions which are up and running round-the-clock throughout the year.
