APSDMA regularly conduct mock drills and exercises in district level line
departments and also emphasizes the participation of the general public to
raise awareness regarding the importance of such drills.
Disaster specific mock exercises are also organized in areas that are highly
prone to specific disasters by SDMA which has proved to bring down the casualty
numbers in the event of a disaster.
APSDMA through the capacity building program conducts cyclone evacuation drill &
Shelter level evacuation drill along the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh.
With the introduction of the new capacity building tools, such mock drills and
exercises will be made available to general public.
