Extension of Emergency Response Support System (ERSS)
Extension of Emergency Response
Support System (ERSS) sponsored by NDMA is being implemented in the State in
coordination with The Center for Development of Advanced Computing (C DAC), Tiruvananthapuram.
Under ERSS a single telephone
number – 112 is provided for seeking help in case of emergencies services like
police assistance, ambulance, fire incidents, women and child protection /
safety and location lost.
Under Extension of ERSS the
services of a single telephone number – 112 are proposed to be extended to
Disaster Management.
Under ERSS one Supervisor and
six operators at State Emergency Operation Center (SEOC) of APSDMA and fifteen
Operators at Public safety Access Point (PSAP) at DGPs Office will be hired.
